[Gossip] Movie Theatre Playing The Last Exorcism Burns Down
Posted by Chris Lansdell on 09.04.2010

The Admiral Twin, a drive-in theatre burned down last night. On the bill for the night? The Last Exorcism.

Investigators are still unsure what caused the fire, but would not respond when asked if demons were on the list of possible causes.

It wasn't just demons...it was a bunch of PREDATORS hunting demons...they must have shot the place up, then one of the Predators blew himself up while laughing! Check for Green Blood!

Well if we're going by this logic, I assume the only alternative theory is that Adrien Brody paid a visit to The Admiral Twin and proceeded to open fire with automatic weapons.

I had nothing to do with that.

Then why haven't all the other theatres with the film burn down too?

Does. not. compute.

Some nutbag fundamentalist Christian did it to "save the souls" of everyone who would've gone to see the movie. Or something like that.

You watch and see.

I live 1.5 miles from this place. This is the drive-in that was used in the film, The Outsiders. Owner states it will take $300,000 to rebuild the screens and didn't have insurance as the drive-in was 60 years old and made of wood. Therefore, no one would insure it.

I drive by it several times per day. There is always a long line of cars there and people walking the grounds almost like they did in the Oklahoma City bombing. Strange.

I expect to start seeing teddy bears, flowers and tributes pinned to the fence soon.

Is it a work or a shoot? Either way, Vince Russo is behind quality booking like this!

You drive by it several times a day? You a pizza-delivery-guy? & why are there cars & people walking around? Because it's a drive-in theatre??? How does that relate to the Oklahoma City bombing, you twit? If it burnt down last night, your comment makes no sense... the Oklahoma City bombing is wayyyyy different than a 60 year old drive-in burning down, moron. yeah, Beavis, real strange....

Wow. That’s quite a response you have there.

Well, let’s see. Does it really matter what I do for a living? I live 1.5 miles away from it. Do you not drive by locations close to you home on a daily basis?

And I could have phrased my comment better. How about this?

Since the drive-in burned down, I have driven by the location many times. Every time I do, there are many cars parked outside the property and many people looking at the damage and walking around the property sharing memories of the drive-in.

At no time did I say this simple building fire with no physical personal bodily harm was in any way on the same level as a terrorist act. I simply tried to state that people are standing at the fence or walking around looking at the damage, much like we did at the OKC bombing site.

If I knew my posting on an internet comment board was going to be graded so seriously, I would have spent more than 30 seconds on it.

I’m so sorry that I wasted your time and insulted the families and friends that know real loss like that suffered at the OKC bombing.

You should be, ya clown, after the bombing in Oklahoma City & 9/11... I wouldn't compare a shitty landmark burning down to either event, & don't assume my life wasn't affected by either, you pious twit.

Posted By: Seriously...wtf? (Guest)  on September 05, 2010 at 01:23 AM

kinda reminds me of the story where this theatre showing Scott Pilgrim vs The World had to close down because both people who paid to see the movie started vomiting at the screen in disgust.

Again, I never compared the Admiral Twin to the Oklahoma City bombing. I simply stated the reaction of the public within the general area reminded me of the Oklahoma City bombing. Obviously, people were a bit more saddened by the Oklahoma City bombing than a big wooden box burning down. That doesn’t change the there was a fence surrounding the Murrah Federal Building, which had many people lined up along it trading stories and sharing memories. And there is a fence surrounding the Admiral Twin Drive In which has many people lined up along it trading stories and sharing memories.

I never mentioned 9/11.

And, I have made no assumptions regarding your life, nor have I tried to insult you by suggesting you have a job some would consider less than enviable, calling you names or twisting your words.

I will now make an assumption that you are one of those that loves to go on to the internet and say things you know will start fights to enjoy the reaction of others. I could think you were possibly insulted but your first statement and readiness to attack so harshly has me believing otherwise.

Can’t blame you though. I’ve done it myself. It’s fun.

That's cos this is, first and foremost, still a wrestling site.

That said, it's a good thing this wasn't May 19th.
